Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is the art and science of designing beautiful smiles. It involves all aspects of general dentistry with a special emphasis on individual teeth and their overall harmony and balance in your smile. For most patients, cosmetic dentistry is painless, conservative, and non-intrusive. In many cases, we can change your appearance faster than you thought possible, perhaps in just two or three visits. If you have stained, discolored, crooked, spaced, or fanged teeth, we offer a painless way to reshape and permanently whiten your smile.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry states that:

By incorporating the finest procedures in the cosmetic restoration of smiles, namely the Lumineer by Cerinate, Dr. Brinster--the only certified Lumineers dentist in this area--has transformed thousands of smiles. Dr. Brinster is an artist as well as a dentist. Ask us about Lumineers at your next visit. For more information on Lumineers please visit www.lumineers.com

To make your cosmetic dental care more affordable, we offer flexible payment plans through CareCredit. There are many options to choose from including intrest free financnig or low monthly payments. For more information or to submint an application, please visit www.CareCredit.com.

Tooth Whitening
To whiten your teeth, we use the most advanced technology available. The ZOOM! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It's safe, effective and fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. Zoom! Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience of Zoom! in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual. Nevertheless, it is important to realize that not all patients are candidates for tooth whitening.

The procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. We then apply the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedures. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.

Custom-Fitted Whitening Tray
We also offer a take-home option for whitening your teeth that will take about 30 minutes to one hour each day for about two weeks.

Instant Orthodontics/Lumineers
Instant Orthodontics is a term for a cosmetic dental procedure using porcelain veneers or Lumineers that can create a beautiful, white, healthy smile in just 2 weeks. Lumineers are ultra-thin and extraordinarily strong custom fabricated shells. Cosmetic trained dentists apply these contact-lens thin veneers to teeth to transform misshapen teeth, close gaps and create a straight beautiful smile. If you are a good candidate for instant orthodontics, this is a quick, easy, permanent and painless alternative to spending years in unattractive and uncomfortable braces.

The added benefit of the Lumineer process is that teeth are not only straight, they are beautiful too. For previous orthodontic patients whose teeth still may not have the desired whiteness, size or shape Lumineers are then an excellent option. These changes can only be made with veneers or Lumineers.

Natural-Colored Restorations
We can replace those ugly, metallic fillings with tooth-colored ones. Imagine laughing or singing without worrying whether your neighbor is counting your fillings. Tooth-colored restorations are superior to the older silver (amalgam) fillings in many ways. They can restore teeth to their original look and function and help maintain, or even improve, their strength. In fact, resin and ceramic restorations are now state-of-the-art for rebuilding teeth. Dr. Brinster can create the natural-looking, high-quality dental restorations necessary to prevent the need for more extensive treatment later.

Crowns
Crowns are used when large fillings fracture, wear out, when a tooth is cracked, or when making cosmetic improvements on teeth.

Implants
Dental implants have become a choice treatment option for many patients who are missing one or more teeth. Implants can replace ill-fitting dentures or missing teeth and they feel and look like your natural teeth. A dental implant is a replacement tooth "root" constructed of medical grade titanium. A porcelain crown or bridge is attached to this titanium root. Teeth restored with dental implants are extremely stable, strong and natural looking. Patients with dental implants are able to eat, smile and laugh without fear or embarrassment that their denture may slip or click, or that their bridge will trap food.

Benefits of Dental Implants

We can help you find the best solution to meet your individual dental needs.

Implant Stabilized Dentures
Unfortunately, some patients may lose all of their natural teeth due to periodontal disease or tooth decay. These patients no longer have to endure the insecurity of dentures that slip. With implant-stabilized dentures, no longer will they have to carefully select foods that don't require any chewing. Patients can enjoy the confidence of being able to eat foods they previously avoided. Dr. Brinster can stabilize your dentures with implants.

Trauma Dentistry
Dental trauma is injury to the mouth, including teeth, lips, gums, tongue, and jawbones. The most common dental trauma is a broken or lost tooth. Dental trauma may be inflicted in a number of ways: contact sports, motor vehicle accidents, fights, falls, eating hard foods, drinking hot liquids, and other such mishaps. As oral tissues are highly sensitive, injuries to the mouth are typically very painful. Dental trauma should receive prompt evaluation from a dentist.

Partials/Dentures
Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth. Dentures allow patients to chew and speak more easily while improving their appearance and often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when all of a patient's teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing. In either case, dentures can help you look and feel your best.

Endodontics
We perform root canals to prevent tooth extraction when the inner soft tissue of a tooth becomes damaged, infected, or inflamed. Once we remove the damaged tissue, we carefully fill the canal, seal it and crown it to protect the tooth and restore its functionality. Signs you may need endodontic treatment include pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch and chewing, and discoloration of the tooth.

Preventive Dentistry
Early detection is the key to avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and periodontal disease. In fact, the major cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontal disease. This disease is known as the silent killer of teeth because most patients feel no symptoms until it's too late. With regular dental visits, we can treat gum disease at an early stage, before it puts you at increased risk for heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.

Orthodontic Services
Some people just want to improve the appearance of their teeth and face. Others have experienced painful crowding that has worsened as they grew older. Today's braces are generally less noticeable than those of the past and they work faster than ever before. Patients are surprised at how fast they can complete their orthodontic treatment. For those who want an "invisible" solution, we offer Invisalign, an alternative way to straighten teeth.

Non-surgical periodontal treatment
Periodontal disease occurs when bacteria builds up on your teeth under the gums, causing your gums to become swollen, red, and infected. This inflammation eventually results in loosening of teeth that can eventually cause them to fall out. For many patients with periodontal disease, we can now manage it non-surgically using antibiotics, and advanced periodontal therapies. With proper maintenance and homecare, your periodontal tissues can remain a healthy pink, and this in turn will help you keep your natural teeth.

Patients are often amazed at the outstanding quality of Brinster Dental. From the sealants used to protect children's teeth to the porcelain chosen to cover a fractured tooth, we select only the highest quality products and advanced materials for our patients. By using the latest technology, such as the WAND anesthesia delivery system and advanced endodontic equipment, we can perform procedures more quickly and comfortably.

In addition to investing in the most modern equipment for your comfort, we also strive to create a pleasant dental experience. Many patients leave even more relaxed than when they entered our dental office. This is dentistry in the 21st century.

Digital X-ray
With digital radiography, we take x-rays of your teeth with markedly less radiation to you than with a regular dental x-ray machine. Then we can store your x-rays on our computers and access them faster than ever before. Additionally, your images can be sent electronically to insurance companies, dramatically decreasing processing time and resulting in faster payment.

The Wand
The Wand is a computer controlled local anesthetic delivery system that delivers anesthetic in a more gentle and painless fashion.

Diagnostic Wax Up
A diagnostic wax up is an important tool to help dentists and patients predict how a cosmetic change will look. A wax up starts with dental impressions of your teeth and gums. The models are then sent to the dental laboratory, which uses wax to create your new look. With the wax up finished, you see a three-dimensional model of your new teeth. Many patients prefer this step because it boosts their excitement for a new improved smile..

Your temporary veneers, crowns, bridges, or other restorations are duplicated from the wax up. You wear the temporary for a few days or weeks, during which time you can fully evaluate how comfortable you are with the changes made to the new teeth in your mouth. Evaluate your phonetics (how you speak), and also how your joints and muscles adapt to the temporaries. Once you are satisfied, we proceed to the next step, creating the actual restoration.

Sterilization: For Your Safety
Our system of safety protocols is a serious issue; we are committed to strict adherence. We have steam, heat and chemical sterilization. Instruments are heat-sterilized after each patient's use in a process called autoclaving. All instruments are bagged and sterilized.
