Dr. Brinster applies leading technologies in dentistry, particularly in the field of cosmetics. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland. He is a certified Lumineers dentist, a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and continually studies the latest technologies to provide the most advanced dentistry to his patients.

To provide comprehensive services to all his patients, Dr. Brinster practices with fellow dentist Dr. John Porter, an orthodontist. Together as a team they ensure that all their patients--children, adults, and seniors--receive the best care possible.

Dr. Brinster is married with two children, and enjoys gardening, as well as boating.

John Porter, DDS, is our orthodontist who is available to provide complete orthodontic care for adults and children. Dr. Porter graduated from the University of Maryland in orthodontics in 1972 and conducted his rotating internship with the U.S. Public Health in 1970. He has been married for 39 years and has three children: Katie, Roger, and Bryant. He is kind, gentle and caring, and is great with children and adults.

Wendy graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Magna Cum Laude in 1996. She has been practicing in the Bowie area since 1994, although she has been a resident of this area for more than 30 years. Wendy takes a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education every two years. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, Maryland Dental Hygienists Association, and the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society. Patients leave their appointment with a thorough prophylaxis and some new information on how to maintain their dental health at an optimum level. Wendy especially loves converting dental-phobics.

Julie graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School with honors and with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1987. She has been at Brinster Dental since 1991, always enjoying how she is providing a valuable service to her patients and contributing to their overall health. Patients notice how Julie helps them feel relaxed in a stressful environment and they appreciate how she explains dental health in an "easy-to-understand" manner. Julie is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, and she makes a point of taking 30 hours of continuing education every two years, as well as teaching dental hygiene in elementary schools every February, the National Children's Dental Health Month. Julie is married to Steven and together they have two teenage sons, Nick and Kyle. They live in Annapolis, and she enjoys gardening, antique shopping, and music.
